PROJECT #1:
21ST CENTURY RESTURANT
The popularity of restaurants is booming, serving the need of keeping us connected while meeng the
most simple need of keeping us fed. The pandemic certainly changed the way we have had access to
restaurants and has changed how restaurants see and develop their own businesses.
For this design challenge, you will take an exisng restaurant space and design a totally new concept
restaurant/retail experience. The type of restaurant, retail, and experience is up to you.
● Food/beverage orders are taken at the table versus ordering at a counter like a Panera
● There is to be a bar in the space, but it does not HAVE to be based on alcoholic beverages
● The retail space is to be adjacent to the main entry/exit of the space
